Cable 14 to Showcase Seven Nationals Games

March 18, 2016
(Hamilton, February 10)… One week ago, the Hamilton Nationals announced their Major League Lacrosse national TV schedule. Today, the Nats unveiled a seven-game TV schedule on Cable 14, which serves the Greater Hamilton community.

“Cable 14 viewers certainly enjoyed the coverage provided in the inaugural season of the MLL in Hamilton and we are excited to be back on the air again this season building on the services offered to the cable subscribers in the Hamilton and Haldimand area,” said Cable 14 General Manager Brent Rickert.

For seven Sundays this summer, 7:00 p.m. will be Lacrosse Night in the Steel City. Lacrosse fans in the Hamilton area will have an opportunity to watch all eight Major League Lacrosse teams on Cable 14. According to Team President Lewis Staats, the TV schedule will allow the Nationals to introduce the professional outdoor game to an expanded audience.

“The Golden Horseshoe is the in the hub of lacrosse in Ontario and we are working hard to continue to introduce MLL professional field lacrosse to Hamilton and the surrounding area,” Staats. “We learned a lot last year and are looking to continue to build our presence in Hamilton through our partnership with McMaster University, where our games are played, and with media partners like Cable 14 who are helping us get our fun and entertaining sport in front of people who will want to come out and experience the game in person. We are excited to be able to bring many of the biggest names in the game of lacrosse to Hamilton and we are confident that the fans in Hamilton will come out and support the Nationals this year.”

The first tape-delayed broadcast will air the Nationals’ home opener against the Chesapeake Bayhawks at Ron Joyce Stadium at McMaster University. The game is set for Friday, May 18th at 11:00 a.m. The game will air locally on Sunday, May 20th at 7:00 p.m.

The schedule also includes games against the Rochester Rattlers on Saturday, June 9th and a Championship Game rematch against the Boston Cannons on Saturday, July 7th. Both games will air the following Sundays at 7:00 p.m. The fourth TV contest will cover the Nationals’ road game in Columbus against the Ohio Machine.
