Flint and Snider signed by Warrior

March 18, 2016
Warren, MI (July 22, 2013) – Today Warrior Sports announced the signing of two standout Major League Lacrosse (MLL) players – Cam Flint of the Boston Cannons and Drew Snider of the Denver Outlaws.  Both athletes play midfield and are currently having fantastic seasons with their respective teams.

Andrew (Buggs) Combs, Sports Marketing Manager at Warrior, says the company is really excited to have them join the Warrior team.  He states, “Warrior has known Cam for four years as a student athlete at Denver. We’re excited to sign a versatile player that works hard up and down the field and shares Warrior’s values. “  In terms of Drew, Buggs says, “We’re always excited to bring Terps to the Warrior team.  Drew is in his second year in the MLL and having a breakout year.  He has shifted from defensive mid into more of an attacking role and has become a productive scorer.  Again, his work ethic and attitude are deeply aligned with Warrior.”

Over the past four years, Cam Flint grew his relationship with Warrior as a player for the University of Denver, a Warrior sponsored school.  Cam asserts his relationship has been many years in the making.  He says, “Warrior has been my go-to brand since I first started playing lacrosse fifteen years ago. I’ve always used Warrior and this contract is a dream come true.”  Additionally, he is proud to represent a brand that aligns with his core values.  He says, “Warrior stands for all the right things – a strong work ethic and a focus on what it takes to be successful.  I am proud to be a Warrior athlete and a member of a group that continues to demonstrate hard work and excellence.”

Cam graduated from the University of Denver in 2013 with a degree in Marketing.  In his final season as a Pioneer, Cam was honored as a USILA First Team All-American, All-EAC First Team 2013, and the ECAC Offensive Player of the Week 04/15/13.  As a senior, he scored 37 goals and dished out 15 assists for a total of 52 points.  Earlier this year, the Boston Cannons drafted him as their 6 th overall pick.  Most recently he earned the honor of MLL’s Rookie of the Week.

Drew Snider is honored to represent Warrior lacrosse.  Drew claims, “It’s been my staple lax brand for years.”  As a kid growing up in Seattle, he remembered having to wait for his Warrior gear to arrive.  He said, “When I was waiting for my gear to arrive in the mail I would hurry home to check.  Now that lacrosse is more prevalent, people can just go out and get it -- they don’t have to wait.” He also spoke to the values that Warrior and its athletes represent.  He said, “Many great guys with strong values and work ethic represent the brand.  Its an honor to be part of that club.”

Currently, Drew is in his second season with the Denver Outlaws.  Prior to playing for the Outlaws, Drew played midfield for Maryland.  As a Terrapin, he was named to the 2012 NCAA All-Tournament Team and had 65 career points including 49 goals and 16 assists.  He graduated from the University of Maryland in 2012 where he majored in Criminology and Criminal Justice.

Both athletes spoke about Warrior’s support of growing the game – geographically and through the support of focused hard working athletes.  Although a member of the Boston Cannons, Cam considers Denver to be home turf.  He claims, “Lacrosse is growing in Denver.  More and more kids and families are coming out to college games and MLL matches.  Hopefully, it will become a lax hotbed.”  Drew grew up in Seattle and remembers not having options to compete locally.  Now, he is part of a growing lacrosse community in the Pacific Northwest.  Drew says, “Its great to see lacrosse and strong lacrosse brands like Warrior move to the West Coast.”
