Launch send message of unity with offer to Douglas High students

February 21, 2018
In an effort to promote community spirit in Southeast Florida, the Florida Launch announced yesterday the team will offer free admission to Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students for the 2018 season.

“The lacrosse community is so tightknit and MLL players, coaches and staff from across the entire league – including our own Florida Launch – proudly stand with Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and Parkland as we grieve for those that were lost,” said Brian Clinton, president of the Launch. “We hope for full recoveries for those injured and pray for everyone touched by this horrible act of violence.”

Students will simply need to show their school ID at the ticket window on game days at FAU Stadium, which is located less than 20 miles from Douglas High School.

Parkland has a thriving lacrosse community, as the high school fields both boys’ and girls’ varsity teams. The boys’ team resumed practice this week according to the Sun Sentinel.
