HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. - The New York Lizards defeated the Ohio Machine 15-14 on Saturday evening. New York moved to 5-5 on the season while the Machine dropped to 2-8 overall.
Ryan Keenan had a late goal in the second quarter to put Ohio up 8-7 heading into halftime. Additionally, the Machine's
Kyle Bernlohr had 16 saves in the game, marking his fourth straight 15+ save game. However, these efforts were not enough to keep MLL ASG MVP,
Will Manny, from leading the Lizards to victory with another game-winning goal.
The Machine fall to 2-8 and the Lizards improve to 5-5.
Next up for the Machine is a trip to Florida as they take on the Launch on Saturday, July 7 at 7:00 p.m. and New York hits the road on Saturday, July 7th, 2018 at 7 PM to take on the
Chesapeake Bayhawks at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
Tonight's game was a part of the Lizards Double Header Night where the
New York Fight hosted the
Upstate Pride in a
Women’s Professional Lacrosse League game before the Lizards took on the Machine. The Pride won the matchup 10-9.
