BOSTON (May 8, 2018)– Ohio Machine goalie Kyle Bernlohr was named the Warrior Defensive Player of the Week for Week 4 after securing a 14-10 win over the Dallas Rattlers on Saturday.
Bernlohr, 25, recorded 18 saves on 28 shots for his second win of the season. The 10 goals allowed were his is his fewest in a game since a 19-7 win vs. Florida on May 27 last season. Bernlohr lowered his goals against average to 11.99 and his save percentage to .593. Bernlohr made seven saves in the fourth quarter as the Machine withstood a comeback attempt from Dallas.
The Machine made Bernlohr the 11th pick in the 2016 Collegiate Draft out of Maryland. A two-time Tewaaraton Award Nominee in college, the Akron, Ohio native was the highest drafted goalkeeper in Maryland history.
