Major League Lacrosse has named Atlanta Blaze attackman, Christian Cuccinello, Warrior Offensive Player of the Week for Week 14.
Cuccinello finished with a hat trick and one assist against Florida, just two days after posting two goals and three assists against Chesapeake during two crucial wins for Atlanta. The rookie from Villanova University has posted two points or more in each of his first eight MLL games for the Atlanta Blaze, which can advance to the Steinfeld Trophy playoffs for the first time since joining the league in 2016.
Against the Bayhawks, Cuccinello had a hand in three Atlanta goals in the third quarter that increased the Blaze’s lead to 11-6 during the franchise's first-ever win against Chesapeake. “Cooch” has 14 goals and 11 assists heading into Atlanta’s pivotal game against Denver this Saturday.
Cuccinello, who represented Italy in the recent 2018 World Lacrosse Championships, has two hat tricks during Atlanta’s four-game win streak.
