LB3 Lacrosse will operate a 7 v 7 tournament the weekend of August 23 and 24 in Kennesaw, Ga. The MLL Championship Festival is open to lacrosse players of all ages starting at the U9 level all the way to the Masters over 35 level, and is organized around the MLL Championship Game that will be held at 7 p.m. (ET) on August 23 at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.

2014 marks a milestone in MLL playoff history with the change in format to a single MLL Championship Game and allowing the two highest  seeded teams to host a semi-final playoff game in market and give their fans an opportunity to provide a true home field advantage.

“We are pleased to be partnering with LB3 Lacrosse again,” said MLL Commissioner David Gross. “They did a tremendous job with our regular season game in Kennesaw last season and we are very happy to have an organization that has such strong ties to the Atlanta lacrosse community operate this tournament.”

As part of their registration package, all participants in the tournament will receive a ticket to the Championship Game and youth participants will be invited to take part in clinics with MLL players prior to the game on Saturday the 23rd.

2014 marks a milestone in MLL playoff history with the change in format to a single MLL Championship Game and allowing the two highest  seeded teams to host a semi-final playoff game in market and give their fans an opportunity to provide a true home field advantage.

LB3 Lacrosse was instrumental in bringing an MLL regular season game to the Atlanta region in 2013 when the Boston Cannons faced the Rochester Rattlers in front of over four thousand fans at Fifth Third Bank stadium. The success of that game prompted the league to host its 2014 Championship Game in the same venue as a prelude to possibly putting an expansion team in the area in the near future.

“We could not be more excited about the opportunity to once again partner with the MLL to bring an outstanding lacrosse event to the Atlanta area,” said LB3 Founder Liam Banks. “The MLL Championship game will offer lacrosse played at the highest level in a great venue.  LB3 plans to add a little something that lacrosse players love, a chance to play lacrosse in a friendly yet competitive environment with the MLL Championship Festival.  It should be an incredible weekend for Georgia lacrosse.”
