Blaze at Rattlers 2018

DALLAS (May 19, 2018) — Ryan McNamara scored the game-winning goal 5:30 into overtime, clinching a 15-14 overtime win for the Dallas Rattlers over the Atlanta Blaze on Saturday night at Ford Center at The Star.

McNamara’s game-winning goal was the first time the Rattlers led in the game. 

The Blaze took control from the start with Tommy Palesek scoring four out of the five Atlanta goals in the first quarter.  

Trailing 12-8 entering the fourth quarter, the Rattlers outscored Atlanta 6-2 in the fourth quarter, including the game-tying goal from John Ranagan with just under a minute left in regulation. 

The loss snapped a franchise-best three-game winning streak for the Blaze. 

- In his Dallas debut, Randy Staats tallied a hat trick and had an assist. 
- Ryan McNamara recorded a hat trick and the overtime goal was the second game-winning goal of his career.  
- Tommy Palasek scored four of Atlanta’s five goals in the first quarter and finished with five points (4 goals, assist). 
- John Galloway took the win with 15 saves on 29 shots.
