GAME RECAP
KENNESAW, Ga. (June 9, 2018) – Despite an eight-point performance by Kevin Rice, the Atlanta Blaze fell 19-13 to the Charlotte Hounds. Charlotte scored seven consecutive goals in the second and third periods to pull away from Atlanta.

The Blaze got off to a 6-3 lead thanks to goals by Rice, and two goals by Deemer Class. From there, Charlotte began their 7-0 run. Matt Rambo and Michael Ehrhardt each tallied two goals during the run, giving the Hounds the momentum.

Charlotte was able to use a balanced attack in the second half to build a 13-10 lead entering the fourth quarter. Mike Chanenchuk, Ryan Brown, Matt Rambo and Michael Ehrhardt tallied four points or more to pace a Hounds offense that recorded 40 shots on goal.

The win was Charlotte’s sixth of the season, tied with Dallas for the most in the league. 

PLAYERS OF NOTE
- Ryan Brown scored a team-high four goals. 
- Michael Ehrhardt was named Coca Cola MVP with a season-high five points (3 goals, 2-point goal, assist). 
- Kevin Rice recorded four goals and four assists in the loss. 
- Deemer Class had three goals for the Blaze, his third game this season with at least three goals.
