Lizards at Cannons 2018

BEVERLY, Mass. (June 23, 2018) – Zed Williams scored five goals, leading the Boston Cannons to a 15-13 win over the New York Lizards on Saturday night. 

With the score tied at 10-10 through three quarters, Boston started the fourth with three straight goals from Williams, Kyle Jackson and Mark Cockerton. 

Joe Walters scored at 8:53 in the fourth quarter to bring the Lizards to within one goal, but Sergio Perkovic picked up the insurance goal for the Cannons just over a minute later. 

The Cannons improved to 3-6, while New York fell to 4-5. 

- Zed Williams recorded career highs in goals (5) and points (6). 
- Mark Cockerton had five goals and two assists. 
- Rob Pannell finished with six goals, giving him one more point than his brother, James (2 goals, 3 assists). 
- Playing in his first game in Boston as a visiting player, Will Manny was held without a point for the first time since 7/30/16 with Boston vs. the Lizards.
