The Big Picture: The Hamilton Nationals will take on the Denver Outlaws at home this Saturday at 7 p.m. ET. The Hamilton Nationals are currently 3-8 after last week’s loss to the Long Island Lizards. The Denver Outlaws are 8-3 after a win over the Boston Cannons in last week’s matchup.
The Denver Outlaws: After the win over the Boston Cannons, Denver is now Wild Card No. 1 for the 2012 playoffs going into Week 12. If Denver wins this week they could obtain a playoff spot if either Boston or Rochester lose their games. Look for Denver to be on their A game against Hamilton this week to try to clinch that spot in the playoffs.
Players to Watch: Brendan Mundorf was named MLL Offensive Player of the Week for his winning efforts against the Boston Cannons in Week 11. Mundorf had his sixth “hat trick” of the season and had four assists. Terry Kimmener was a team player last week, contributing four assists. Jordan McBride put up three goals and two assists in last week’s matchup.
The Hamilton Nationals: The Nationals were eliminated from 2012 MLL playoffs when they lost 19-12 last week to the Long Island Lizards. They will be playing their final three games at home this season.
Players to Watch: David Earl scored four goals last week in an attempt to keep the Nationals in running for the playoffs. Stephen Keogh put up three goals in last week’s matchup, he’s ranked No. 3 for the Hamilton Nationals having 26 points this year. Joe Walters has put up 32 points, having at least one point in every game this season.
Next Matchup: The Denver Outlaws will play the Rochester Rattlers on Aug. 4 at 7 p.m. ET. The Hamilton Nationals will take on the Charlotte Hounds at home also on Aug. 4 at 7 p.m. ET.
