MLL Power Rankings

During the 2013 MLL season, Major League Lacrosse will be using a power ranking system to show fans how their favorite team stacks up against the competition. A teams' power ranking is based on cumulative season statistics, as well as voting conducted by MLL.com's contributing writers. After raw scores from the two are combined, teams will then be rated on a scale of 1-100. That final number will represent a team's power ranking for that week.

Denver Outlaws

1

89.5

Denver completely dominated in what should have been the game of the season, scoring 22 goals from eight different players.  The win over Hamilton proves that Denver’s offense is the best and most versatile in the entire league

Chesapeake Bayhawks

66.5

Got a dominating win over NY to get them back over .500. Will face a test this weekend against Denver. An upset could propel them to first in the league.

Hamilton Nationals

2

66

It was inevitable that someone had to leave the game of the week in week six with a loss, and it wasHamilton on the wrong end of a beating courtesy of the Denver Outlaws. The Nationals still sit comfortably at 5-1 on the season and can rest easy knowing that the likes of Kevin Crowley make scoring look easy for them. However the Nationals will need to score more than their nine points in week six if they want to remain at the top.

New York Lizards

After getting handled by the Bayhawks, the Lizards are on a two game losing streak heading into a tough game against the Nationals. The defense has struggled in their last two losses, and they’ll need to improve against a potent Hamilton offense if they hope to remain in playoff contention

Charlotte Hounds

The Hounds were unleashed in a strong win against Ohio last week 13-7. If they keep up their drive and hard work, I think they have a shot at making it to post season play

Rochester Ratlers

44

The Rattlers 16-14 win over the Cannons brought them to 3-3 on the season, proving to be a better team than Boston in a nail-biting game that could have gone either way. This come-from-behind win is proof that Rochester can carry themselves through a game with the help of Jordan MacIntosh and the Leveille brothers

Boston Cannons

7

32

Boston has all of the building blocks to put together a championship team, but the Cannons can’t seem to get it together.  Paul Rabil is leading the league in points, but Boston’s defense needs work.  The lowest the Cannons have held a team to was eleven points against the Lizards in the first game of the season.

8

Ohio Machine

8

19

Ohio's 0-6 record pretty much speaks for itself. The good news is that the Machine have the potential to be contenders with a roster stacked with powerful offensive players and an influx of rookies who have made an immediate contribution.   With all the roster changes constantly occurring, clearly the team is having issues with chemistry
