U.S. Men's National Team Selects 52 for Training Roster

Following a three-day tryout that saw 94 of America’s premier professional and collegiate players travel to Baltimore, 52 players have been named to the U.S. Men’s National Team training roster. All but two ply their trade in the MLL.

All eight MLL teams have at least three players on the training roster with 2013 MLL Champion Chesapeake Bayhawks leading the pack with 11.

The Denver Outlaws and New York Lizards follow with eight players each while the Boston Cannons have seven on the list. The Charlotte Hounds and Rochester Rattlers have five while the Ohio Machine and Hamilton Nationals round out the list of MLL players selected with three each.

The 2013 MLL rookie class is also well represented with nine players on the list including 2013 Tewaaraton Award recipient Rob Pannell and Outlaws standout Eric Law.

The players will train with Team USA at a series of fall and winter events, culminating with Champion Challenge, a US Lacrosse event, Jan. 24-26 at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

Following the Champion Challenge the roster will be trimmed down to 23 men who will compete for a record 10th world title at the 2014 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Championships, hosted by US Lacrosse on July 10-19, 2014, in Denver, Colo.
