Before the 23-man rosters were submitted today, the Charlotte Hounds and Chesapeake Bayhawks decided to make one last trade.
The Bayhawks have acquired midfielder Peet Poillon from Charlotte in exchange for the 9th overall 2014 Collegiate Draft Selection. The trade gives the Bayhawks yet another offensive weapon after they picked up Brendan Mundorf earlier in the offseason. For Charlotte, it gives them a high draft pick in a very deep draft.
Poillon was drafted 20th overall by Boston in the 2009 MLL Collegiate Draft. After a short rookie season, Poillon scored at least 20 goals each of the following four years, with his career high of 24 goals and 41 points coming in Chesapeake’s run to the Championship in 2010. Poillon was traded from Chesapeake to Denver in the 2010-2011 offseason before being traded to Charlotte in advance of the 2013 campaign.
