Brine Chicago Machine Attackman and Team USA member Ned Crotty
Warren, MI. (July 6, 2010) – Brine announced today the signing of Ned Crotty to a multi-year endorsement contract. Crotty is the 2010 Tewaaraton Trophy winner and member of the NCAA National Champion Duke Blue Devils. He was the 1st overall pick in the MLL Draft and a member of the 2010 USA National Team. He will be used in a variety of marketing initiatives and assist in the development of new products with Brine.
“Brine is all about cutting edge technology in their products and giving lacrosse players the opportunity to compete at the top of their game” said Crotty. “I have used Brine throughout my collegiate career at Duke and am fortunate to have the distinct advantage of continuing that run in both the MLL and FIL World Lacrosse Championships with Team USA. Capping an accomplished NCAA career, Ned’s 2010 campaign marked his 3rd All-America selection and a single season Duke assist record of 63 (86 total points). He was the Turnbull award winner as the Division I attackman of the year a remarkable three times. Adding to his historic achievements in 2010, Crotty was named to the 23 man roster of Team USA that will compete in the FIL World Championship in Manchester, England. Ned was the only college player to earn such an honor. In the pro’s Crotty made an immediate impact earning Rookie of the Week accolades in just his third MLL game. Ned tallied 2 goals and 3 assists in a June 25 win over the Denver Outlaws.
Ned attended Delbarton High School where he was a star in more than one sport. His senior year he was an All American in Hockey and lacrosse which had never been done before in the state of New Jersey. As a team captain his senior year he lead both his hockey and lacrosse team to the NJ state Finals. With his hockey team, he averaged 40 minutes per game his senior year as a defenseman and appeared in Sports Illustrated for that accomplishment. He was recently inducted into the first class of the New Jersey High School Hockey Hall of Fame. In lacrosse, Ned was a High School All America at Midfield and Attack.
