Boston Cannons Acquire Goalie Tyler Fiorito

March 18, 2016
BOSTON, MA – Following the announcement of Jordan Burke’s retirement, the Boston Cannons have made quick work in securing a new goalie for the upcoming 2016 MLL Season. Through a multi-player trade with the Chesapeake Bayhawks, the Cannons receive 2015 MLL All-Star Goalie, Tyler Fiorito.

The Bayhawks pick up Attackman Ryan Young, Midfielder Tyler German, the rights to Midfielder Greg Coholan, and the Cannons’ true 1 st Round pick in the 2017 MLL Collegiate Draft. The Cannons drafted Coholan from the University of Virginia with their 1 st Round pick in the 2016 MLL Collegiate Draft.

Tyler Fiorito, who finished second in the 2015 Maverik Goalie of the Year votes, was the starting Bayhawks goalie in 2015 and finished the season with a 60.6% save percentage. The Bayhawks also traded a conditional 2017 Supplemental Draft Pick.

The Cannons and Bayhawks will square off May 12th in Annapolis, MD.
