DELAWARE, Ohio - Midfielder Kevin Kaminski scored four goals, including a two-point marker in the fourth quarter, as the Charlotte Hounds (2-6) snapped a four-game losing streak by edging the Ohio Machine (1-6), 17-16, at Selby Stadium on Saturday evening.

With the win, the Hounds earned a sweep of the regular season series against the Machine after earning an 18-15 victory in Charlotte on May 12.

The Hounds jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead in the opening two minutes on a pair of goals, including a two-point marker from attackman Jovan Miller. But, the Machine answered to tie the game with back-to-back goals, including a two-point marker from defenseman Kyle Hartzell.

After the teams traded goals twice later in the second quarter, the Hounds used four straight goals to take a 9-5 lead early in the third quarter. But, the Machine responded by putting together a five-point run, including a two-point goal from defenseman Ray Megill, to give Ohio a 10-9 edge with 6:05 left in the period.

The teams traded goals before Charlotte scored five of the next goals to take a 16-12 lead with 7:10 remaining in regulation. Kaminski scored twice during the run while attackman Matt Danowski had a goal with an assist.

But, the Machine tried to make a comeback by scoring three of the next four goals, including a two-point goal from Hartzell, to close the margin to 17-16 with 30 seconds left. However, the Machine was unable to get any closer.

While Kaminski tallied a season-high five points to earn Bud Light MLL Player of the Game honors, Danowski contributed three goals with three assists for the Hounds, who outshot Ohio by a 43-39 margin.
