Hounds hold off Bayhawks in 15-14 win



ANNAPOLIS, Md. (June 16, 2017) – Charlotte avenged a one-goal loss to Chesapeake earlier in the season with a 15-14 win at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium on a rainy Friday night. 

Ryan Brown, Kevin Crowley and John Haus all recorded hat tricks for the Hounds. 

Charlotte built an early lead by as many as six goals, but the Bayhawks cut into the deficit with six goals in the second quarter. 

Chesapeake rookies Jake Froccaro and Colin Heacock each tallied the first points of their pro careers, with three goals and two goals, respectively. Matt Danowski (5 points) also helped the Bayhawks comeback with two back-to-back goals during their three-goal run at the end of the fourth quarter to bring the game to a one-goal difference. 


Bayhawks rookies Jake Froccaro (3 goals) and Colin Heacock (2 goals) both netted their first professional goals.

Matt Danowski finished the game with five points (4 goals, 1 assist)

Brendan Fowler (1 goal, 1 assist) notably won 16-30 faceoffs that contributed to three goals off of faceoff wins. 

Matt Rambo made his professional debut for the Hounds and finished the night with two assists.
