CHARLOTTE, N.C. (June 10, 2017) - After falling to the Atlanta Blaze last week, 19-18, the Charlotte Hounds were able to obtain momentum in the first half with five straight goals to come up with a 18-12 win at home.
The Hounds had an 8-2 lead at half which proved critical due to both teams scoring the same number of goals in the second half (10).
Ryan Brown of the Hounds led the team with at least one goal in each quarter to improve his total goals this season to 23, the most of any players this season.
The win improved Charlotte to 3-5 on the season and marked its first home win of the year.
PLAYERS OF NOTE:
Ryan Brown added five goals, tying his season high in the home opener against Denver. He now has 23 goals and 30 points, tops in MLL for both categories.
Brendan Hynes, the rookie from Richmond, collected two groundballs in his pro debut for the Hounds.
Charlie Cipriano made 19 saves out of the 31 shots on goal for a .612 save percentage.
