Lax Sports Network Debuts Premium App on Apple TV

WOBURN, MA January 26, 2018 – Lax Sports Network (LSN), the world’s premier destination for lacrosse games, news, highlights, access, and original programming, has announced the launch of its latest native applications on Apple TV. The new platform joins the Network’s robust OTT family of apps available on iOS, Android, Roku, and Amazon Fire TV. Expanding onto this platform will allow LSN to reach new fans via its growing digital footprint in the OTT ecosystem, and provide current subscribers with more ways to watch LSN’s broad offering of lacrosse content. This launch is powered by ViewLift, the Network’s trusted platform provider and a leader in the digital content distribution marketplace.

“In 2017, Lax Sports Network delivered over 2,000 hours of original programming, including more than 130 live professional, collegiate and high school games,” noted Rob Wallace, LSN’s COO. “This year, fans can enjoy even more live games, plus our signature shows, highlights and interviews – and the sport’s top on-demand library – across all the major at-home devices, with Apple TV expanding our distribution reach.”

Given LSN’s rapidly growing subscriber base, new original programming launches, and expanding VOD library, bringing the Network to Apple TV is a major boost. With 21.3 million users on Apple TV, this device will not only be able to provide top quality lacrosse content for fans, but also grow LSN’s influence in the live sports streaming landscape. Lax Sports Network focuses on creating the best content for the sport’s fans, while ViewLift enables the ultimate in viewer experiences across all devices, and its industry-leading insights and analytics help LSN refine programming and distribution decisions for an audience that runs from young children to former pros, and everyone in between.

“Lacrosse has exploded across America by delivering speed, scoring, athleticism and pure power – and LSN brings all that action, at every level of the sport, to your home on the devices sports fans love,” said ViewLift’s CEO Rick Allen. “We are proud to expand the Network’s reach and technological innovation.”
