Semifinals set as MLL Regular Season ends

March 18, 2016
Boston Aug. 10, 2014 - With week 14 of the MLL Regular Season in the books, the stage is set for the two semifinals that will determine the teams that will face off in the MLL Championship Game from Fifth Third Bank in Kennesaw, Ga., on Sat. August 23 at 7 p.m. Tickets for the event start at only $20 and can be found HERE.

This year, for the first time since 2002, the MLL decided to give the two teams with the best record the opportunity to host the semifinal game at home, rewarding their fans with a true home field advantage semifinal.

The Rochester Rattlers finished first overall with a dominating win over the Boston Cannons and will face No. 4 seed Ohio Machine, who dispatched the Florida Launch in their final game of the season.

The game will face off at 3 p.m. ET at Wegman's Stadium in Rochester, as Sahlen's stadium was not available due to a conflict, and will be televised live on CBS Sports Network. Tickets for the first semifinal can be found HERE.

Even though the Denver Outlaws were defeated by the New York Lizards on Saturday night, they finished second in the standings and will host No. 3 New York at 5:30 p.m. ET also on August 16 and on CBS Sports Network.

A change of venue is on the docket for this game as well as Sports Authority Field at Mile High is unavailable, and the game will be played at the University of Denver’s Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium, the only lacrosse-specific stadium in the country.

Due to limited seating, Outlaws season ticket holders will enjoy a presale until Wednesday, Aug. 13, at 11 a.m. ET, at which time any remaining tickets will be made available to the general public via Ticketmaster through this link.

The winners of the semifinals will then face off on Saturday, Aug. 23 at 7 p.m. ET, in the 2014 MLL Championship Game at Fifth Third Bank in Kennesaw, Ga., in a game that will be televised live on CBS Sports Network and broadcast to over 175 U.S. territories, including U.S. military installations, U.S. embassies and U.S. consulates, via the American Forces Network.
