The Charlotte Hounds, founded in 2011, will enter their 5 th season of play this upcoming 2016 season. The Hounds home field is located in the heart of Charlotte, North Carolina at the American Legion Memorial Stadium. The team’s first win came against the Ohio Machine in May 2012. The 18-5 victory set the tone for the franchise’s successful inaugural season. During their second season, the Hounds earned their first playoff win over the undefeated Denver Outlaws in the Semi-Finals and advanced to the MLL Finals.

During this past off-season, the Hounds realigned their executive team in order to focus on fan engagement, game day experience and business development. Mike Cerino , who has been with the team since its inception, relinquished previous coaching responsibilities and will focus on General Manager duties. The General Manager and Operations responsibilities will be split with Kristy Boyles , who is also responsible for community engagement initiatives. The Hounds have begun their search for a new head coach.

By making personnel changes in the off-season and selecting key players in the Supplemental Draft and the Collegiate Draft, the Hounds look to have a successful upcoming season. Just prior to the 12-man roster deadline, the Hounds picked up Kevin Crowley, the league’s 2013 MVP. In the Supplemental Draft, defense and midfield depth were top priorities and the Hounds selected 14 players. During the Collegiate Draft, the Hounds selected 12 players while focusing on attack and midfield. The new roster will be anchored by 2015 Cascade Rookie of the Year Joey Sankey, faceoff specialist Brendan Fowler, MLL All-Star Ryan Flanagan, and Team Captain John Haus.

Charlotte kicks off their season with three straight home games. The first comes on Saturday, April 23 rd against the Boston Cannons.  Season ticket memberships and tickets are on sale now for the 2016 season! Visit charlottehounds.com/ticketsor call (704) 206-1515 for more information.
