With age comes wisdom, and Casey Powell may be one of the wisest players in professional lacrosse today. Powell, who spent most of the season inactive, made his triumphant return for the Bayhawks when they traveled to Boston to take on the Cannons. Powell notched a hat trick and an assist in the contest, including the tying goal to send the game to overtime with just two second remaining. The ‘Hawks went on to win in overtime, securing a place in Championship Weekend.

The rest of 2013: Powell only played in two other games, scoring four total goals during the regular season. It was the playoffs where Powell turned it on. His five points in the two games of Championship Weekend helped give the Bayhawks their third title in four years.
