Warrior Defensive Player of the Week: Michael Ehrhardt

BOSTON (June 12, 2017) – Charlotte Hounds defender Michael Ehrhardt was named the Warrior Defensive Player of the Week for Week 8. He helped the Hounds to an 18-12 victory over Atlanta on Saturday, the team's first home win of the season. 

Ehrhardt contributed on both sides of the ball this weekend against Atlanta with three ground balls and two caused turnovers defensively, and he added a two-point goal on the offensive end. It marked his first goal of the season and the fourth two-point goal of his career. The Maryland product lead the Hounds in caused turnovers last season with 24.

Besides Michael Simon named in Week 2, all other Warrior Defensive Players of the week have been goalies, making Ernhardt the second defender to capture this title.
