Machine at Bayhawks

11:30 PM UTC

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (June 2, 2017) -- After a 19-goal outburst last week, the Ohio Machine put up 18 goals in an 18-11 win against the Chesapeake Bayhawks on Friday night. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Chesapeake.

The Machine held a three-goal lead at the half, but pulled away in a five-goal third quarter that saw Marcus Holman score twice.

Appearing in his first professional game, Bayhawks faceoff specialist Ben Williams went 23-for-32 (72%) at the faceoff X. Chesapeake just drafted him in the fifth round of last week's Collegiate Draft out of Syracuse.

The Machine have now won two straight games following a two-game losing streak.

Ben Williams earned the Coca-Cola Player of the game, winning 72 percent of his faceoffs despite playing in his first MLL game.

Marcus Holman had four goals and two assists. He has 13 points (10 goals, 3 assists) in his last two games combined.

Tom Schreiber led all scorers with seven points (2 goals, 5 assists). It marked his second straight game with five assists.
