It’s that time again! Welcome to MajorLeagueLacrosse.com’s Movie Mania Wednesday, where you get to learn a bit more about your favorite MLL players. In today’s Movie Mania we shine the spotlight on Charlotte Hounds Defenseman Ryan Flanagan
MLL.com: What is your favorite movie of all time?
Flanagan: Miracle. I have a tough time sitting down long enough to watch a movie but have seen this one a few times. Warrior and Wedding Crashers are up there too.
MLL.com: What is in your DVD Collection?
Flanagan: Sports movies and comedies! Miracle, Remember the Titans, Friday Night Lights, Mystery Alaska, Cinderella Man, Warrior, Out Cold, The Hangover, Ted, Wedding Crashers.
MLL.com: What’s the next movie in your Netflix queue?
Flanagan: Probably the next Vince Vaughn or Owen Wilson movie.
MLL.com: What is the first movie that you ever saw in a movie theater?
Flanagan: Wow… honestly couldn't tell you. I know one of my best memories is going to see “Remember the Titans” with my 5th grade football team.
MLL.com: What’s your favorite movie quote?
Flanagan: Today it is “I swear to God, her name is Sauvignon Blanc. Show her your Chevron Card.” because it generated a few good laughs at dinner last night when someone ordered a glass of wine.
MLL.com: What’s your favorite sports movie?
Flanagan: Miracle and Remember the Titans… top two.
MLL.com: Who is your favorite actress?
Flanagan: Mila Kunis or Jennifer Lawrence. I don’t have any actress crushes so need to step my game up!
MLL.com: If they made a movie about your life, who would play you?
Flanagan: Hopefully Ryan Gosling but I think Vince Vaughn or Eddie Cahill (who played Miracle Goalie Jim Craig) is a little more likely. A lot of people tell me I look like Eddie Cahill and sound like Vince Vaughn at times.
MLL.com: If they made a movie about your team, who would play your coach?
Flanagan: That’s another tough one. Not sure I know many actors that could play Coach Cerino but Joe Pesci would be hysterical!
MLL.com: Movie Face-Off – Which do you like better and why? Mighty Ducks vs. Bad News Bears?
Flanagan: Mighty Ducks- I may throw out the “Make him make the first move, Conway” line when coaching on occasion. Unfortunately, a lot of the kids are too young to have seen Mighty Ducks and just look at me like I am crazy.
