A 12-10 upset over the Nationals last Thursday pushed the Lizards into a tie for fourth place. The three way tie between the Lizards, Rattlers, and Hounds could be broken if the Lizards beat the Cannons this weekend.

The Cannons earned their first win under Coach John Tucker with a 15-13 win over the Charlotte Hounds last Saturday. Boston seemed to have found their stride after the first quarter scoring six goals in the second quarter and shutting out the Hounds.

The Lizards have struggled offensively as they are ranked 7 th for goals scored with 71 goals in seven games, they are led by Tommy Palasek who has recorded 13 goals and four assists. In addition, Rob Pannell has been hot for the Lizards posting five goals and six assists in three games. Drew Adams anchors the defense with a 0.568 save percentage. The 2012 Warrior Goalie of the Year is ranked first for saves, stopping 105 shots.

The Cannons hope to continue their offensive success on the back of Rabil, Mike Stone, and Matt Poskay. Rabil has netted 16 goals and added 11 helpers while Stone has 14 goals and three assists. Poskay follows by closely with 13 goals and two assists. The Cannons defense stepped it up this past Saturday shutting down the Hound for a solid 18 minutes. The defense is led by Kyle Sweeney who has recorded 14 ground balls this season.

Next week the Cannons will travel to Ohio, June 29 to play the 1-6 Machine at 7:30 pm while the Lizards will continue their road trip to face the Rochester Rattlers June 30 th at 3:00 pm, in a game that will be broadcast live nationally on CBS Sports Network.
