Tim Henderson to Rejoin Lizards

The Lizards are excited to announce the return of defenseman Tim Henderson. Tomorrow, US Army Second Lieutenant Tim Henderson will play in his first game as a Lizard since returning from Afghanistan.

Henderson played with the Lizards during the 2012 season, following his graduation from West Point Military Academy. He was expected to rejoin the Lizards when they played in Boston in June of 2013; however commitments prior to his deployment prevented him from playing in any games last season. Henderson returned home from Afghanistan safely this past March after nine months overseas.

Tim was drafted by the Rochester Rattlers in the 2012 MLL Collegiate Draft. He was the 35 th overall pick in the fifth round. He was traded to the Lizards, where he played 11 regular season games and a playoff game where he picked up 32 ground balls and two goals.

With the Memorial Day holiday still fresh on everyone’s mind, Major League lacrosse and the Lizards are excited to welcome Tim home and see him back out on the field once again.

Tickets to tonight’s game are still available at NYLizards.com. The first 1,000 fans into the stadium will also receive a limited edition Rob Pannell Bobble Head. Gates will open at 5:30 and fans are encouraged to arrive early.
