Boltus and Ranagan Traded to Rochester as Part of Multi-Player Deal

BOSTON (December 17, 2015)– The Atlanta Blaze have made quick work in the offseason in preparation for their inaugural season at Fifth Third Bank Stadium. Just one day following the 2016 Supplemental Draft, the Blaze have traded their first draft choice (No. 1 overall), Jeremy Boltus, in addition to John Ranagan and their 8th round pick in the 2016 MLL Collegiate Draft presented by Cascade. In return, the Rochester Rattlers send Atlanta Kevin Rice, Conor Doyle and Graeme Hossack.

The 2011 Cascade MLL Rookie of the Year Boltus is heading back to Rochester where he spent the 2015 season following a nine-month deployment to Afghanistan. Midfielder and Johns Hopkins Graduate Ranagan is also going back to Rochester where he played during the 2013, 2014, and 2015 seasons and added 65 points (46 g, 19a) Atlanta acquired Ranagan with the 6th pick in the 2016 MLL Expansion Draft.

Attacker Kevin Rice played his rookie season in 2015 with the Rattlers totaling 26 points (15 g, 11 a). Rochester picked up attacker Doyle in the 2016 Supplemental Draft with their first draft pick (No. 8 overall) and LSM Hossack with their 3rd draft pick (No. 26 overall).
