BOSTON (April 25, 2014)– Major League Lacrosse, the premier professional outdoor lacrosse League, will begin its fourteenth season this weekend with two games on Saturday, April 26 and two games on Sunday, April 27.
First up is the MLL’s newest team, the Florida Launch hosting the Denver Outlaws in their inaugural game at FAU Stadium in Boca Raton Fla. At 7 p.m. The game can also be watched on the MLL’s YouTube Channel by clicking
here. The Charlotte Hounds renew their rivalry with the Ohio Machine at 7 p.m. on Saturday as well (
click here to find the channel in your area). Then, on Sunday, the Boston Cannons host 2013 MLL Champion Chesapeake Bayhawks at 1 p.m., also on the
MLL YouTube Channel, while the New York Lizards welcome the Rochester Rattlers at 6 p.m. at Shuart Stadium in Hempstead, N.Y., which will be live on CBS Sports Network .

“We are ready to get things started, with some great games this weekend, for what will be the best MLL season yet,” said MLL Commissioner David Gross. “The partnerships we formed this offseason have been instrumental in our continuous efforts to grow and unify the sport, allowing us to engage our current fans across several platforms while making some new ones along the way.”
The MLL has forged partnerships with several organizations including, Adrenaline, STX and Maverik Lacrosse, that will increase the League’s reach and allow for unified efforts to cross promote the sport of lacrosse through multiple channels.These brands join longtime MLL partners Warrior and Brine in providing the League’s players with the best lacrosse equipment and apparel available.
Fans should not forget about the League’s two marquee events of the season. The 2014 MLL All-Star Game will take place on June 26 at Harvard Stadium. This year the MLL All-Stars will take on Team USA in their final tune-up before the FIL World Championship in Denver in July. Information about the event and tickets can be found by visiting
With the change in playoff format announced last August, the League will host a single Championship Game at a neutral site, Fifth Third Bank Stadium in Kennesaw, Ga. on August 23, and, in an effort to reward the fans and the teams with the better record, the semifinals will be held at the home of the two higher seeds at the end of the regular season.
